Squadron Leader I. P. Marshall MBE RAFVR(T)
I joined the ATC in 1982 as a C.I. (Civilian Instructor) with 384 (Mansfield) Squadron. Later, when Commissioned went on to command 384 Warsop DF.
I finally took command of 140 (Matlock) Squadron where we went on to win the Lee’s Trophy, making it the best squadron in the ATC. I was transferred to 126 (City of Derby) Squadron and have commanded here for 30 years now.
My wish is to continue the unit as a winning squadron and for us all to strive to be the best at all we do. Our new HQ, (due to be opened in Aug 2017) will help us achieve this.
In 2012 I was awarded the MBE.
